Grupo Soares da Costa is one of the largest groups in the civil construction and public works sector in Portugal.

 

Soares da Costa possesses a strong international focus (62 per cent of their business volume in 2011 was of an international nature), with offices in Florida (USA), Angola, Mozambique, and Romania, and regular activity in many other countries. In a worldwide ranking performed by the North American magazine ENR (2012), the company holds the 105th position as an international contractor (business volume outside of the country of origin.). In European terms, Soares da Costa is among the first 100 largest groups of construction, classifying itself in 2011 on the 48th place, accordind to the European powers of construction publication.

 

The corporate structure is based on four sub-holdings which correspond to four business groups: Construction, Concessions, Industry and Real Estate.

 

The strong technical capability and international market focus, as well as highly qualified human resources have been the key to the group’s success.
