Soares da Costa Imobiliária, SGPS congregates the equity holdings of the Group in the real estate area. This organization is responsible for the political definition for all of the operations in this branch of business, through its holdings, whether in the management of assets, or in the promotion of new ventures. The business volume in this sector of activity was 47 thousands of euros in 2009.

Although this is not a strategic area for the Group, its development in the next years will continue through the management of the existing real estate park and through the capitalization on opportunities in selected businesses, in Portugal and in the important Angolan market. For the realization of these new investments, partnerships will be focused on; as an example of this type of arrangement is the contract signed with “Hotti-Hotéis” for the launching of a new brand of low cost hotels, the Star Inn.

In Angola, “Soares da Costa Imobiliária Angola Lda.” was created as an Angolan organization that will develop activities of real estate promotion in Angola.
