Socometal is specialized in the conception, manufacture and assembly of metallic structures of medium and large scale and of iron works. The company integrates all types of operations in the area of metal-mechanical construction, from the project design phase through assembly and later assistance, which constitutes a great advantage for the clients.

The corporation has its own Projects and Design department, as well as advanced information systems as a means to analyze and plan adequate constructive solutions for manufacturing methods.

The commitment to continual training, to the recruitment of adequate personnel, and to the acquisition of the most modern equipment has as its objective the attainment of an increased productivity, dimensional rigor, and efficacy.

The fixed installations of Socometal in Vila Nova de Gaia, has a covered area of 22,000 m², dimensioned for work of large scale in the most diverse areas, as public works or industry.

The company is certified since 1993, currently according to the norm NP EN ISO 9001-2000, with the APCER-93/CEP.080 certification.
